School event for Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Festival)

In Chinese communities, the Mid-Autumn festival (Oct 6th) is a time to get together, share a meal, eat moon cakes and look at the moon. Knowing that everyone will be gazing at the same full harvest moon, people feel closer to far-away loved ones and traditionally, are inspired to recite and write poetry.

Time:
Saturday, 7th of October, 2006. It will be starting at 6pm.

Activity:
- 6pm-8pm, Go to China Town ‘Bar Shu' for an authentic Sichuan dinner;
- 8pm onwards: Go to China town 'K-box for Karaoke;
- If we are lucky, we can watch the full moon.
- And try to speak Chinese as much as you can. Smile
- Free traditional moon cake prepared.
