Types of Interpreting
Consecutive interpreting We offer a huge wealth of experience in this method of interpreting, a common technique used in small conferences or group discussions. The interpreter takes notes in a special kind of shorthand during the speech and then gives their translation at the end from memory. This approach is appropriate for speeches and addresses at events such as receptions and banquets.
Whispered Interpretation The interpreter sits next to the listener and whispers the translation virtually simultaneously with the speech. This is suitable for events involving fewer listeners, such as a one-to-one encounter.
Ad-hoc interpreting In the UK we have also gained a position as a supplier of professional interpreting services to public sector bodies, financiers and legal firms. Ad-hoc interpreting in less formal situations such as a meeting between a small group, a hospital visit or an appointment with your solicitor.
