Mandarin Immersion Playgroups Our unique Mandarin immersion playgroup is a fun, natural way to expose the youngest children to Chinese. Through play, songs, rhymes, stories and art projects, we concentrate on concepts important in their expanding world, such as body parts, fruits, animals, whethers, numbers, shapes and colors. These joyful, playgroup style classes are conducted entirely in Mandarin! A typical 60 minute playgroup (with regular breaks) begins with our welcome song, followed by additional singalongs. Next, we'll play a game like Teacher Says... or What's in the bag? An construction paper and glue project or other art project reinforces the language we are using. We encourage the parents(mum or dad) to participate actively in the playgroups to encourage the children and keep them interested.
